L-Acoustics’ the Artists of Sound is a digital series that highlights the people behind the music. Gold Dust Films has produced 2 films for L-Acoustics in this series.
Episode 6 features Susan Rogers, a pioneering engineer who shaped the sonic landscape of Prince’s iconic albums, and a professor of cognitive neuroscience. From her time in the studio to her transition into neuroscience, Susan explores how sound influences emotion, memory, and even mental health, merging artistic expertise with scientific insight.
Released February 2025.
Episode 1 is featuring Belle Chen, and explores how sound is a bridge between imagination and reality. Throughout a day together in London she invites us to experience her world of instrumentation in a natural environment (a beautiful day in one of the city’s parks) to experimenting in the studio, and how the soundscapes of her surroundings translate into her creative output.
